Jessica: Meet the Team

Jessica moved to DC from Charleston, SC less than 2 months ago and has already fallen in love with her new city. Volunteering with Think Local First DC is a natural extension of her small-town mentality. “Feeling like I am a part of a close-knit community is important,” says Jessica, “and the best way to foster that long-term is by promoting and supporting local businesses.” As an experienced cooking class instructor and the daughter of a farmer, she is excited about the great variety of fresh veggies, artisan cheeses and local meats available at the daily markets around town. If you don’t see Jessica at the market, she is probably running the trails at Rock Creek Park. Unless, of course, it’s dinnertime!
