CleanEnergy

Through our collective wind energy groups, Think Local First DC in partnership with Clean Currents, organizes groups of local businesses in Washington DC to convert to 100% wind power.   Local businesses are able to pool their energy demand and lock in a more competitive rate than they'd be able to do individually, thus saving money on their energy bills.

Hear what Nizam Ali, owner of Ben's Chili Bowl, has to say about the program.

How does it work?

1. Fill out the Electricity Authorization Form and fax to 301-279-2112 to research usage history.

2. Clean Currents finds the best rate and term from suppliers offering green energy options.

3. Agree to rate and term associated with the recommended supply contract.

4. Clean Currents processes paperwork with supplier.

5. Supplier then notifies the local utility of switch. Billing still comes from utility.

6. Clean Currents will help to educate your organization, customers and community about your choice!

Clean Currents is devoted to making low cost, clean, green energy available to companies and residents alike. Making the switch to Clean Currents requires no special equipment and secures the same reliability as a previous electricity supplier.
